Digital classroom specialist Arrive Systems, Inc today announced it will be Gold Sponsor for the upcoming ninth edition of the International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology (Innovations ’13) and will demonstrate lecture capture solution.
The three-day conference will be hosted by the College of Information Technology, UAE University, Al Ain, from 17 to 19 March, 2013. The event will feature a panel of speakers from across the globe, each of whom are expected to highlight the challenges and opportunities within the IT landscape for regional companies.
Topics of discussion will include communication networks, information security, computing and embedded systems, intelligent and software systems, communication networks, applications and Web services.
Arrive will also be hosting Michelle Zeigmann from the University of California, Berkeley, USA at Innovations ’13, who will present an industrial lecture on March 19 titled “Opencast Matterhorn: Open Source Lecture Capture and Beyond”. Zeigmann has been working in the field of educational technology for over 10 years and is one of the founding collaborators in the Opencast Matterhorn project where she also serves as a board member.
Matterhorn is a free, open-source platform to support the management of educational audio and video content. Arrive ViewPoint, a lecture capture device, is powered by Matterhorn technology to manage lecture recordings and existing video, serve designated distribution channels and provide user interfaces to engage students with educational videos.
